Job summary

Kossan Rubber Industries Bhd. is seeking an experienced Accounting professional to join its Accounting team in Malaysia.

The role covers accounting, group consolidation, financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, statutory compliance and internal controls to support growth in a leading manufacturing environment. The candidate should have 3–5 years of relevant experience, familiarity with MFRS/IFRS/GAAP, and exposure to SAP/ERP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting and professional qualifications or equivalent.
• 3-5 years relevant working experience, preferably in manufacturing sector and/or audit.
• Experience in financial management and knowledge in SAP / ERP system is advantageous.
• Experience in Group Consolidation.
• Familiar with Bursa Malaysia and other authorities.
• Must be proficient in accounting standards, MFRS, IFRS and GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of accounts/financial activities including accounting, financial reports and analysis, auditing, taxation and budgeting for the Company.
• Liaise with government authorities, Inland Revenue Board, Customs, MIDA and other statutory bodies for compliance and approvals.
• Prepare monthly reports, financial statements and cash flow forecasts for management and banks.
• Prepare project papers for evaluation to banks, investors and regulators.
• Prepare schedules and analyses for management, auditors and tax requirements.
• Ensure effective internal controls and regulatory compliance for financial and tax reporting.
• Monitor and control decentralized finance functions across locations.
• Work with stakeholders to identify needs and provide business solutions.
• Liaise with auditors and company secretary for compliance.

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Accounting professional to join our Accounting team. In this role, you'll be responsible for accounting, group consolidation, financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, statutory compliance, and internal controls. You will also work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial management, compliance, and timely reporting while supporting business growth within a leading manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all aspect of accounts/financial related activities including accounting, financial reports and analysis, auditing, taxation and budgeting for the Company.
• Responsible for all fiscal reporting activities to all the government authorities and agencies.
• Responsible for the preparation of monthly reports, financial statements and cash flows forecast and projections for Management
• To prepare and present the project papers for evaluation to banks, investors, regulatory bodies and others.
• Prepare schedule and analysis for management, auditors and Tax requirements
• Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and compliance with regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
• Monitoring and control in decentralized finance functions of the business units in various locations.
• Work closely and maintain strong relationship with all levels of organization to identify their needs and seek business solutions.
• Liaise with Government departments, Inland Revenue Board, Customs, MIDA and other statutory bodies for compliance and approvals.
• Liaise with Auditors, Company secretary and Tax agents

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Professional qualifications or equivalent
• Minimum 3-5 years relevant working experience, preferably in manufacturing sector and or audit.
• Experience in financial management and knowledge in SAP / ERP system is an advantageous.
• Experience in Group Consolidation.
• Familiar with the requirements and guidelines of Bursa Malaysia and other relevant authorities.
