Job summary

MSD Malaysia in Petaling Jaya is seeking a Senior Specialist for Accounting to Reporting (AtR). You will supervise GL close, ensure accurate country ledgers, and partner with Local Finance to align with US GAAP and local tax rules.

The role requires 6+ years in finance, 2+ years in supervision, and strong English communication. SAP experience and continuous improvement focus are preferred. This is a full-time onsite position in Selangor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• Minimum 6 years in finance or accounting in a multinational.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory role with people leadership.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Experience with US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise general ledger activities and period end close for AP clusters.
• Coordinate GL and AtR subprocess activities and reconciliations.
• Ensure transactions reflect accurately in ledgers by country.
• Prepare timely period-end reports in line with corporate standards.
• Drive process improvements and standardization across teams.
