Job summary

Merck Gruppe - MSD Sharp & Dohme in Malaysia seeks a Specialist – Accounting to Reporting (AtR) to ensure APJC transactions are accurately reflected in our accounting records, aligned with US GAAP and local statutory requirements.

You will partner with Local Finance teams, support period-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and global projects while upholding SOX controls and a robust control environment. Prior multinational experience and SAP skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 4+ years in a multinational finance/accounting role with US GAAP exposure.
• Experience with SAP and balance sheet reconciliations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general ledger support and period-end close duties for AP region.
• Maintain accurate ledger reflecting country-level transactions.
• Ensure timely local statutory and US GAAP reporting and reconciliations.
• Support SOX controls and participate in global finance projects.
• Collaborate with local and virtual finance teams to manage workload.
