Job summary

MSD Malaysia is seeking an Associate Specialist in Accounting to Reporting (AtR) to ensure that APJC market transactions are accurately reflected in the books, aligned with US GAAP and local statutory requirements.

You will work with Local Finance teams, perform period-end closes, reconciliations, and support SOX controls, with exposure to SAP, Power BI, and global finance projects. Bachelor degree required; 1–3 years’ experience preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance.
Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and US GAAP preferred.
Strong communication and ability to work in a global, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

Provide general ledger support and period-end close for assigned markets.
Support GL and other AtR sub-process activities.
Maintain accurate accounting ledger reflecting country transactions.
Ensure transactions are reflected correctly on a country basis.
Ensure timely period reporting in line with Corporate and country requirements.
Execute monthly reconciliation processes adhering to standards.
Identify opportunities to streamline service delivery and participate in projects.
Collaborate with finance teams across markets and towers.
