MSD Malaysia is seeking a Specialist in Accounting to Reporting to manage general ledger close for AP across markets. You will ensure accurate accounting records, align with US GAAP, and meet local statutory requirements while partnering with Global Finance teams.

The role requires a 4+ year track record in multinational finance, strong English skills, and experience with SAP and balance sheet reconciliations. On-site in Petaling Jaya with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in finance or accounting in a multinational company.
• Business-level English (speaking and writing) required.
• Experience with US GAAP and non-US GAAP environments is preferred.
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations is required.
• Experience working with global cultures is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Advanced PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with digital finance technologies (Power BI, Power Automate, AI) is a plus.

Mansioni

• Provide general ledger support and period end close responsibilities for the AP.
• Maintain an accurate and current accounting ledger reflecting country transactions.
• Ensure transactions are reflected correctly in the ledger on a country basis.
• Prepare timely period reporting in line with corporate and country requirements.
• Lead monthly reconciliations and ensure SOX compliance and audit controls.
• Collaborate with Virtual Finance Teams and local finance groups on global projects.
