Job summary

Ryt Bank Malaysia is seeking a skilled Fullstack Engineer to join our Enterprise Engineering team. You will design and deliver end-to-end features spanning React frontends and NestJS/Spring Boot backends for our digital banking platform.

You will collaborate with product managers, QA, and platform teams to ensure quality, security, and scalable solutions, while exploring AI-assisted development to boost productivity and code quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of full-stack development delivering production-grade features.
• Proficient in TypeScript and JavaScript; backend in Java Spring Boot.
• Experience with React, hooks, routing, and state management.
• Experience with NestJS services and TypeORM integration.
• Knowledge of Spring Boot with JPA/Hibernate and REST APIs.
• Experience with at least one AI coding tool.
• Familiar with PostgreSQL/MySQL; NoSQL like MongoDB/Redis a plus.
• Proficient with Jest/Supertest or JUnit/Mockito for testing.
• Familiar with Git workflows, CI/CD, Docker basics, Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Frontend: design and deliver React/Vue features using TypeScript, including state management and routing.
• Build reusable React components aligned to the design system.
• Optimize frontend performance and cross-browser compatibility.
• Backend: develop RESTful APIs with NestJS or Spring Boot.
• Implement service-layer logic, validation, and auth flows.
• Data modeling with TypeORM or Hibernate incl. migrations.
• AI Coding Tools: use AI tools for feature development and testing.
• Testing: unit and integration test coverage.
• CI/CD & DevOps: manage pipelines and PRs with clear context.
• System Integration with payment gateways, identity providers, core banking APIs.
• Documentation and ADRs; runbooks.
• Collaboration with product managers, QA, and platform teams; participate in sprints.
