Job summary

Career Flow is hiring a Senior Frontend Developer to join our growing tech team in Malaysia. You will work with the CTO, frontend developers, product managers and UI/UX designers to build high-performance, SEO-friendly web applications using React, Next.js and TypeScript.

You’ll influence frontend architecture, improve testing and monitoring, and explore new technologies to improve product quality and developer experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, frontend focus.
• Strong production experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience with SSR/SSG/ISR rendering strategies.
• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS and modern frontend practices.
• Good understanding of SEO, Core Web Vitals, accessibility and security.
• Experience implementing JWT/OAuth secure authentication.
• Strong frontend architecture experience and production systems.
• Ability to explain technical decisions and trade-offs clearly.
• Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring developers.
• Ability to estimate work reliably and apply best practices.
• Comfortable with AI-assisted development tools and code quality.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Developer to join a growing technology team and help shape the direction of modern, high-performance web applications.

You will work closely with the Chief Technology Officer, frontend developers, product managers, and UI/UX designers to build highly interactive, scalable and SEO-friendly applications using React, Next.js and TypeScript.

Beyond feature development, you'll have the opportunity to influence frontend architecture, improve engineering practices, strengthen automated testing and monitoring, and explore new technologies that can improve product quality and developer experience.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain modern web applications using React, Next.js and TypeScript.
• Develop applications with a strong focus on performance, SEO, accessibility and Core Web Vitals.
• Work closely with Product, UI/UX and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality features.
• Contribute to frontend architecture and make informed technical decisions.
• Establish and improve frontend monitoring, observability and automated testing.
• Review code and mentor other developers on engineering best practices.
• Identify and manage technical debt while proposing practical architectural improvements.
• Evaluate emerging frontend frameworks, tools and industry trends.
• Use AI-assisted development tools effectively while ensuring generated code meets production-quality engineering standards.

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, primarily focused on frontend development.
• Strong production experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience with modern rendering strategies such as SSR, SSG and ISR.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and modern frontend development practices.
• Good understanding of SEO, Core Web Vitals, accessibility and web security.
• Experience implementing secure authentication flows using JWT and OAuth.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture and experience building and operating production systems.
• Ability to explain technical decisions and architectural trade-offs.
• Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring developers.
• Ability to provide reliable engineering estimates and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Comfortable using modern AI-assisted development tools while maintaining strong technical judgement and code quality.

Nice to Have

Experience in any of the following would be an advantage:

• Next.js 14+, Nuxt.js, Remix or similar modern web frameworks.
• Node.js ecosystem, server-side rendering, API routes or Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) patterns.
• Hosting platforms such as Vercel, Netlify or AWS Amplify.
• Serverless functions and edge deployment.
• Automated testing using Playwright or Cypress.
• Unit, integration and end-to-end testing strategies.
• Advanced client-side state management and data-fetching/caching tools such as TanStack Query.
• Building or maintaining internal design systems.
• Vite, Webpack or other modern frontend build tools.
• Monorepos and npm/yarn workspaces.
• CI/CD pipelines and Docker.
• Open-source contributions, technical writing or active involvement in the frontend development community.
