Job summary

Altera Corporation is seeking a Senior FPGA Silicon Validation Engineer in Penang, Malaysia. You will define and advance FPGA validation strategies, build lab environments, and create synthetic tests to validate functionality, performance, and power before product release.

You will work with architecture, design, software, firmware, and tools teams to ensure high-quality silicon bring-up and validation, including PCIe and Ethernet protocols, signal integrity concepts, and debug of complex issues

Qualifications

• Defines and develops FPGA validation efforts across customer use models.
• Develops lab-based test environments and synthetic content to characterize functionality, performance and power.
• Collaborates with architecture, design, software, firmware and tools teams to define validation strategy.

Responsibilities

• Defines and develops FPGA designs that mimic customer use models for silicon validation.
• Implements digital logic in FPGA prototypes and evaluates architecture/design trade-offs.
• Debugs silicon bring-up issues from prototype to production and documents solutions.
• Manages validation program and drives test plan execution.
• Requires knowledge of PCIe, Ethernet and related signaling and eye-diagram/jitter/BER analysis.
