Job summary

SAM Malaysia is seeking an experienced FP&A professional to support financial planning, analysis, and reporting across manufacturing operations. You will work with business teams to collect data, reconcile metrics, and deliver insights that drive operational and financial results.

The role involves building financial models, budgeting, forecasting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance data visibility and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of FP&A or commercial finance experience.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling.
• Strong analytical and accounting skills.
• Ability to turn data into actionable insights.
• Good communication and stakeholder management.
• Detail-oriented, proactive in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with Cognos, Oracle, ERP, or BI tools is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Collect and reconcile operational and financial data with business teams.
• Prepare financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, variances) and reviews (monthly/quarterly).
• Track performance against budget/forecast; provide insights and recommendations.
• Build and maintain financial models for performance analysis and scenario planning.
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis needs.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to standardize data and improve visibility of key metrics.
• Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze capital expenditure performance including actuals, forecasts, and variances.
