Job summary

QL Kitchen Sdn Bhd is seeking a Food Product Development professional to drive recipe creation and production trials. You will coordinate sensory tests, lab work, and shelf-life studies while maintaining R&D records and SOPs.

You will lead collaborations with QA, Production, Purchasing, and suppliers, monitor costs and yields, ensure GMP/HACCP/ISO compliance, and mentor junior team members to improve quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related food science field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in food product development.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, food safety, shelf-life evaluation, and microbiological testing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Strong project coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop recipes and conduct kitchen and production trials.
• Coordinate sensory evaluation, laboratory testing, and shelf-life studies.
• Prepare and maintain recipes, BOMs, product specifications, SOPs, and R&D records.
• Coordinate new product launches with QA, Production, Purchasing, and suppliers.
• Monitor product costing, yield, portion control, and raw material usage.
• Ensure products comply with GMP, HACCP, ISO, food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Guide junior R&D team members and monitor project progress.
• Identify opportunities to improve product quality, cost, and production efficiency.
