Job summary

Team Keris Berhad in Malaysia is seeking an experienced finance professional to take on senior accounting leadership. The role focuses on managing accounting operations, budgeting, reporting, and payable/receivable processes while ensuring compliance and internal controls.

Ideal candidates bring ACCA or equivalent finance qualification, at least 10 years of finance experience, and construction/property sector exposure, along with multilingual communication skills.

Qualifications

• ACCA or Bachelor Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional qualification in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of experience in finance.
• Working experiences in Construction/Property Sector is a MUST.
• Good command of Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin.
• Experience in Big 4 is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, GL and, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition, project budget vs actual, cash flow monitoring, and tax matters.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close process, liaising with auditors, bankers and the necessary stakeholders to ensure timely audit and its completion.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• In charge of accounting system, and in addition support other system maintenance and integration.
• Additional controller duties as necessary.

Education

ACCA or Bachelor Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional qualification in Finance/Accountancy

Big 4 experience (advantage)

Multilingual (Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin)
