Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia seeks a Finance Manager to oversee preparation of financial statements, budgets and forecasts, lead planning initiatives and optimise financial performance.

The ideal candidate has a relevant degree and professional qualification (ACCA/CPA preferred), 7–10 years in finance, strong Excel skills, and a proven track record of improving financial processes, with English and Bahasa Malaysia communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA) highly desirable.
• 7–10 years progressive experience in financial management, accounting or related finance role.
• Substantial experience with financial planning, analysis, reporting and budgeting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with accounting software and financial management systems.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Experience in technology or carbon-related industries advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the preparation and management of financial statements, budgets and forecasts
• Directing financial planning initiatives and developing strategies to optimise financial performance
• Managing accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards and internal policies
• Analysing financial data and providing insights to support strategic decision-making across the organisation
• Supervising and mentoring finance team members, fostering professional development and maintaining high performance standards
• Managing relationships with external auditors and financial stakeholders
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing process improvements within the finance function
• Preparing financial reports for senior management and the board of directors
