Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Finance & Accounts Manager to oversee the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions across multiple entities in Kuala Lumpur. The role combines hands-on operational accounting with strategic oversight and will build a scalable Finance Department over time.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience at Finance Manager, Accounts Manager or equivalent managerial level.
• Hands-on experience in full-set accounts and month-end/year-end closing.
• Experience liaising with auditors, tax agents, bankers and company secretaries.
• Supervising and developing finance/accounting employees.
• Must communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions across multiple entities.
• Review monthly management accounts, financial reports, supporting schedules and reconciliations.
• Monitor financial performance and provide analysis and recommendations to Directors.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of accounting records and financial information.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closings.
• Oversee AP/AR/GL, bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, fixed assets and cash management.
• Prepare accounting entries, journals and vouchers; ensure timely documentation.
• Develop SOPs, internal controls and drive process improvements.
• Lead finance process improvement and contribute to scalable department structure.
