Job summary

M&A HIRING COMPANY is seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead and oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations from its base in Malaysia. This role requires driving month-end close, managing cash flow, and delivering insightful management accounts and analyses to steer strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years in a senior finance capacity, prefer experience in the construction/property sector, and be capable of mentoring junior staff while ensuring

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a senior finance or accounting role.
• Experience in construction or property industry is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with SST, withholding tax, e-Invoicing and other statutory requirements.
• Experience supervising and mentoring junior team members.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Capable of meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of financial activities.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing, including accruals, provisions, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and key financial analysis.
• Manage cash flow and treasury activities, including cash position monitoring, payment planning, banking, and working capital.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning while providing financial insights to support business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal financial controls.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, banks, and other external stakeholders on financial, tax, and compliance matters.
• Lead, coach, and develop the finance team while driving process improvements, operational efficiency, and strong financial governance.
