Job summary

Unicomp Technology, Kuala Lumpur, seeks an experienced Senior Finance Manager to lead day-to-day finance operations and partner with regional teams on international expansion projects.

Reporting to the CFO, you will manage FP&A, budgets, rolling forecasts, and statutory reporting, while guiding the integration of acquisitions and joint ventures within Group policies. The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and readiness for overseas assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA or equivalent).
• Minimum 7 years of progressive finance experience, incl 2–3 years in management.
• Experience in manufacturing industry, esp. industrial x-ray or semiconductor, is a plus.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, statutory reporting, governance.
• ERP implementation or finance transformation exposure is advantageous.
• Post-acquisition integration or joint venture experience is a plus.
• Fluency in Chinese preferred to liaise with HQ in China.
• Must be able to undergo overseas training or assignments, months to a year.

Responsibilities

• Maintain internal controls and risk management in line with Group governance.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join our Kuala Lumpur Talent Hub. Reporting to the CFO, this role provides hands‑on finance management support for the Group's international expansion activities, including newly acquired businesses, joint ventures, and strategic regional projects. The successful candidate will manage day‑to‑day finance operations, support integration workstreams, and strengthen finance capabilities at the entity level.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Management & Business Partnering

• Manage day‑to‑day finance operations for assigned entities, projects, or regional initiatives.
• Support the CFO on secondment assignments to newly acquired companies or joint ventures as needed.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams and local management to align financial activities with business objectives.
• Supervise and mentor finance executives/analysts within the immediate team.
• Support the alignment of acquired businesses or new joint ventures with Group finance policies, reporting standards, and governance requirements.
• Assist in standardising financial processes and reporting frameworks across integrated entities.
• Contribute to ERP and finance system implementation activities as part of the integration workstream.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Support annual budgeting, consolidating inputs from business units and preparing budget packs for review.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly rolling forecasts covering revenue, profitability, and cash flow.
• Prepare monthly management reports, KPI dashboards, and materials for senior leadership review.
• Analyze business performance — revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and EBITDA — by product, customer, region, or business unit.
• Conduct variance analysis (Budget vs Actual, Forecast vs Actual, Prior Year vs Current Year) and support root cause investigation.
• Build financial models to support pricing, capacity expansion, and investment evaluation, under the guidance of CFO leadership.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for assigned entities.
• Support statutory reporting and external audits, ensuring documentation and accounting policies remain audit‑compliant.
• Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and applicable financial standards.
• Apply the Group's risk management framework within assigned entities or projects.
• Identify financial, operational, and compliance risks and escalates to the CFO as needed.
• Maintain effective internal controls in line with Group governance practices.

Requirements .

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Minimum 7 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 2–3 years in a managerial or team‑lead capacity.
• Experience in manufacturing industry, especially industrial x-ray or semiconductor manufacturing, is a plus.
• Solid experience in budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, statutory reporting, and financial governance.
• Exposure to finance transformation, ERP implementation, or business process improvement is an advantage.
• Exposure to post‑acquisition integration, M&A, or joint venture projects is a plus, but not required.
• Fluency in Chinese is preferred to liaise with the HQ team in China.
• Candidates must be able to undergo overseas training or assignments, which may last from months to a year.
