Job summary

A financial services company in Johor is seeking an experienced finance manager to lead all aspects of financial reporting and operations. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Accountancy and professional CA/CPA qualifications, accompanied by at least 8 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in a managerial role. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local regulations, managing cash flow, and overseeing the preparation of financial statements. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Job description

Lead a full spectrum of financial reporting and accounting operations

Ensure timely and accurate analysis of financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts

Manage cash flow and treasury function

Preparation and review the monthly and year‑end financial statements for sub‑group and group consolidated accounts

Create / modify and implement policies and processes to cope with changes in business activities and ensure effective control

Ensure compliance with all in‑country local statutory accounting, tax and government authorities’ regulations

Manage the Group’s tax planning and optimise its tax position

Continuous improvement in accounting work processes and software implementation

Manage annual insurance renewal and coverage

Set up new entities and plan for the accounting structure.

Liaise with banks, auditors, tax consultants, corporate secretarial agent and legal

Participate in corporate actions like Corporate Restructuring, Fund Raising, M&A etc

Other financial projects as assigned

Requirements

Degree in Accountancy or equivalent and professional CA / CPA qualified.

Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 years in managerial role.

Working experience in public listed companies will be an added advantage.

Hands on with full spectrum finance function and operational accounting.

A team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Analytical, meticulous and a strong communicator.
