Job summary

PKF Malaysia is seeking a Manager/Senior Executive to oversee internal management accounting, payment processing, corporate administration, reporting, and process improvement in Kuala Lumpur.

The role requires a degree in accounting, strong English, and at least five years in accounting and payroll with audit exposure. You will manage day-to-day finance operations and lead junior staff to enhance controls and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or relevant professional qualification.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting and payroll with audit exposure.
• Good command of written and spoken English and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare internal management accounts, monthly statements, reconciliations, and supporting analysis.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, and management reports to support decision-making.
• Oversee payment processing including vendor payments, staff claims, intercompany payments and banking matters.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of payments, receipts, accruals, and other entries.
• Review bank reconciliations, AP/AR, and GL balances for accuracy.
• Support corporate functions including statutory records and reporting, documentation control, and contracts.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, and internal stakeholders on finance matters.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Lead and review work of junior finance/administrative staff.
• Identify workflow gaps and propose efficiency improvements.
• Develop templates, checklists, SOPs, and process documentation for finance.
