Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a dedicated accounting professional to manage full-set accounts, monthly closures, and financial reporting in a construction/engineering context.

You will oversee treasury processes, tax compliance, statutory audits, and coordination with external auditors and regulators, while maintaining accuracy and timely deliverables. Experience with Oracle/SAP (advantage) and SST compliance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, engineering, project-based, or contracting industries is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, SST, withholding tax, and statutory compliance.
• Hands-on experience in full-set accounts and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and executive decision-support analysis.
• Generate project P&L, project tracking, aging (AR/AP/Inventory), and intercompany reports.
• Manage full set of accounts (AP, GL, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Bank) and monthly/annual closures.
• Oversee journal entries, reconciliations (bank/stock/balance sheet), accruals, prepayments, and staff claims.
• Lead annual statutory audit coordination, schedule preparation, and audit query defense.
