Job summary

EnviroSolutions & Consulting Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Finance Executive to oversee daily finance and accounting operations across regional entities in Malaysia. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, statutory and tax compliance, and support day-to-day finance activities in line with group policies and local regulations.

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience, including full sets of accounts and management reporting.
• Group consolidation experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate month end and year end closing and prepare management accounts and variance analysis.
• Prepare Group consolidated financial reports and intercompany elimination schedules.
• Review bank and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Reconcile ERP system with Xero, ensuring correct project codes and resolving differences with the AR team.
• Review receivables ageing, support collections and escape overdue balances.
• Coordinate with Project Managers on work in progress, unbilled revenue and project margins.
• Review AP invoices, payment schedules and supporting documents, and check POs against allocated project budgets.
• Reconcile ERP system with Xero, ensuring costs are charged to the correct project codes.
• Support staff expense claims and cash advance liquidation, ensuring policy compliance and required approvals.
• Review intercompany reconciliations and regional reporting submissions and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Monitor cash balances and prepare cash flow forecasts.
• Prepare audit schedules and support tax and statutory submissions within deadlines.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents and external advisers.
• Review and guide the AR and AP teams, ensuring compliance with finance policies and improving procedures.
• Identify control gaps and support improvements to finance processes and SOPs.

Job description

As a Senior Finance Executive at ESC, you will be responsible for the daily finance and accounting operations of the company across regional entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory and tax compliance, and effective day to day finance operations in line with group policies and local regulations. Reporting to the Regional Finance Manager, you will also guide and support the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams.

Job Responsibilities

1. Accounting and Financial Reporting

• Coordinate month end and year end closing and prepare management accounts and variance analysis.
• Prepare Group consolidated financial reports and intercompany elimination schedules.
• Review bank and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

2. Account Receivable and Project Accounting

• Reconcile ERP system with Xero, ensuring correct project codes and resolving differences with the AR team.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience, including full sets of accounts and management reporting; Group consolidation experience is preferred.
• Strong accounting knowledge and Excel skills, with experience in ERP systems, Xero, multi entity or cross border finance, external audit or tax liaison, or mentoring junior finance staff considered a plus.
• Accurate, organised and proactive, with good communication skills and the ability to work independently and guide team members.
