Job summary

Wellous Group in Malaysia seeks a Finance Executive to manage the full set of accounts, ensure timely financial records, and support audits and tax matters. You will prepare statements, budgets, and cost analyses while maintaining strong controls and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of accounting experience, ACCA/CPA/CIMA preferred, and proficiency in Excel and accounting software. This role is based in Kuala Lumpur and requires meticulous, analytical thinking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with professional qualifications preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting/finance experience, preferably in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage full set of accounts, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closing.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Oversee daily finance operations such as receivables, invoicing, payments, and accounting system entries.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial data.
• Prepare audit schedules, tax computations, and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Handle statutory audits, tax submissions, and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of creditors, debtors, bank accounts, intercompany balances, and other key accounts.
• Provide financial insights and conduct evaluations to identify cost-reduction opportunities.

Purpose of the role
