Job summary

SoftwareOne is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Associate for a 1-Year Finance Associate Program in Kuala Lumpur. You will support day-to-day finance activities, drive finance transformation initiatives, and ensure compliance with Malaysian regulations while collaborating with cross-functional teams on integration projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations, tax compliance, and e-Invoicing.
• Hands-on experience with finance operations, GL accounting, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily finance and accounting operations, ensuring accurate records, timely reporting, and alignment with company policies and Malaysian accounting standards.
• Support compliance with Malaysian statutory and tax requirements, including SST, corporate tax, withholding tax, and e-Invoicing obligations.
• Perform bank reconciliations, investigate outstanding items, and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules, audit support documents, and regulatory submission materials.
• Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, including ERP implementation, process automation, digitalisation, and system enhancement projects.
• Support company integration activities such as finance process harmonisation, data migration, chart of accounts alignment, and post-merger finance activities.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations, tax compliance, and e-Invoicing requirements.
• Hands-on experience in finance operations, general ledger accounting, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, Navision, or similar accounting platforms.
• Ability to support finance transformation, process improvement, automation, or business integration initiatives.
• Strong analytical, organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
