Job summary

Tap Growth ai is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Specialist to oversee financial operations across multiple countries and portfolios. You will strengthen financial controls, ensure donor compliance and provide insights for decision-making.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting, mentor finance teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve processes and drive operational efficiency across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Partial professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA) preferred; master's optional.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, or financial operations.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations, accounting, reporting and full cost recovery across portfolios.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and month-end reporting activities.
• Monitor financial transactions and ensure compliance with budgets and internal controls.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Specialist to oversee financial operations across multiple countries and portfolios. Reporting to the Budgeting and Reporting Manager, you will play a key role in strengthening financial controls, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, improving financial processes and providing financial insights to support organizational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations, accounting, reporting and full cost recovery across multiple portfolios.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and month-end reporting activities.
• Monitor financial transactions, investigate anomalies and ensure compliance with internal controls and approved budgets.
• Review financial data and ERP records to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with financial policies.
• Analyse financial performance, cost structures and resource allocation to support informed business decisions.
• Provide financial guidance to project leads and management on budgeting, reporting, cost allocation and financial management matters.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to finance teams across multiple offices and portfolios.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial workflows, systems, reporting processes and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of financial queries and consistent financial practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Partial professional accounting qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA or equivalent); a Master's degree is an advantage.
• Experience in accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, reporting or financial operations.
• Strong knowledge of financial controls, compliance requirements and accounting systems.
• Experience with ERP and financial management systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
