Tecobar Smartpower Solution Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a seasoned Finance Manager to oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting, from statutory reporting to month-end close.
You will partner with TECO headquarters, lead budgeting and forecasting, and drive internal controls, cost analysis, and process improvements while ensuring compliance with Malaysian tax and regulatory requirements.
Manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions, including financial reporting, month-end closing, and statutory compliance.
Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, management reports, and cash flow forecasts to support business decision-making.
Collaborate with TECO headquarters to ensure alignment with operational plans and strategic goals.
Support process improvements and cross-departmental coordination to enhance operational efficiency.
Oversee day-to-day finance operations (AP, AR, GL), ensuring proper controls and accurate record-keeping.
Assist in product costing, cost analysis, and margin monitoring to support business decisions.
Standardize and streamline back-office operations across related entities in Malaysia to ensure consistency with the group's policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with Malaysian statutory requirements, including tax, audit, and regulatory reporting.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and relevant authorities.
Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to management.
Provide support in cross-functional coordination with departments such as IT, Legal, and Operations when required.
Support the implementation of internal controls, risk management practices, and process improvements.
Compile financial reports and operational status updates, providing improvement recommendations to management and headquarters.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, and track performance against business targets.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional qualification (ACCA/CPA) is an added advantage.
Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, with exposure to full set of accounts and financial reporting.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, taxation, and compliance in Malaysia.
Leadership: Ability to work independently and oversee finance operations; prior supervisory experience is an advantage.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Industry Exposure: Experience in manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred.
Language: Proficient in Chinese and English to liaise with headquarters and stakeholders.
Industry Background: Experience in electromechanical engineering or manufacturing is preferred.
Local Expertise: Strong understanding of Malaysian financial regulations and legal frameworks.
