TESS INTERNATIONAL is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Manager to lead our Finance & Accounting function in Malaysia. The role oversees financial operations, management reporting, planning, accounting, cash flow, compliance and internal controls, partnering with management to drive strategic decisions.

Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts.
Prepare financial reports, analysis and presentations for Management.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Manager to lead our Finance & Accounting function. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Company's financial operations, management reporting, financial planning, accounting, cash flow management, statutory compliance and internal financial controls. The role will also serve as a key business partner to Management by providing meaningful financial insights and supporting strategic decision-making. This is a hands-on leadership role for an individual who is able to balance financial governance, operational excellence and business growth.

Key responsibilities

Lead and oversee the day-to-day Finance & Accounting operations.

Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts.

Prepare financial reports, analysis and presentations for Management.

Monitor financial performance against budgets, forecasts and business objectives.

Provide meaningful financial insights, trends and recommendations to Management.

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounting, with demonstrated managerial or leadership experience.

Strong knowledge of financial accounting, management reporting, budgeting, cash flow and financial controls.

Good understanding of Malaysian tax and statutory requirements.

Experience in managing audits, tax matters and external professional advisers.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial modelling skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial matters to non-finance stakeholders.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a finance team.

High level of integrity, confidentiality, attention to detail and accountability.

Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems, Autocount and Microsoft Excel.
