Job summary

JAC Recruitment’s client, a well-established multinational, seeks a technical expert to support PCB customers on CCL materials across Malaysia, Singapore, and ASEAN. You will recommend materials, assist with NPI, and coordinate testing and certifications.

The role requires strong problem-solving, communication in Mandarin and English, and willingness to travel regionally for customer engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Science or related field.
• 5+ years PCB R&D, Process Engineering, Lamination or NPI in PCB manufacturing OR 4+ years in Technical Support, Field/Application Engineering in CCL.
• Good understanding of PCB manufacturing, including HDI processes.
• Knowledge of CCL materials and their applications is advantageous.
• Able to perform PCB defect analysis, troubleshooting and root cause investigation.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Mandarin and English communication proficiency.
• Willing to travel within Malaysia and overseas.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to PCB customers on CCL materials, applications and product issues.
• Recommend suitable materials based on customers' PCB processes and requirements.
• Support the introduction and qualification of new CCL materials at customer sites.
• Coordinate customer testing, evaluation, qualification and certification activities.
• Support NPI and new customer projects from the technical side.
• Investigate PCB defects and process issues, identify root cause and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with customers' R&D, Process, Quality and Engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Coordinate internally with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing and Sales teams.
• Follow up on technical issues and ensure proper solutions are provided.
• Stay updated on PCB, HDI and CCL technology trends.
• Identify potential applications and opportunities to support business growth.
• Provide technical support to customers across Malaysia, Singapore and ASEAN markets.
• Travel overseas when required, including occasional trips to China.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical/ Electronic Engineering, Science or a related field
• Candidate should preferably have either:
• 5 years or more experience in PCB R&D, Process Engineering, Lamination or NPI within a PCB manufacturing environment or
• 4 years or more experience in Technical Support, Field Application Engineering or Application Engineering within the CCL industry
• Good understanding of the PCB manufacturing process, including HDI processes
• Knowledge of CCL materials and their applications will be strong advantage
• Able to perform PCB defect analysis, troubleshooting and root cause investigation
• Able to independently understand technical problems and recommend practical solutions
• Experience in customer qualification, material certification or NPI will be an advantage
• Good communication and coordination skills, as this position involves regular interaction with customers and internal technical teams
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Able to communicate effectively in Mandarin and English to support relevant customers and regional stakeholders
• Willing to travel within Malaysia and overseas
