Job summary

GE Vernova in Malaysia is seeking a Lead Technical Field Advisor (Lead TFA) to provide technical leadership and field execution for Steam Turbine and Generator maintenance, inspections, and outage activities at power plants. Lead on-site coordination of TFAs, contractors, and site teams to deliver safe, high-quality results aligned with GE standards.

The role requires ownership, independent decision-making, and the ability to mentor others while driving customer satisfaction and business success

Qualifications

• Technical or university degree, or equivalent field experience.
• At least 8 years in power plant, turbine/generator maintenance or related work.
• Ability to lead site execution independently on complex outages.
• Proficient in reading drawings, P&IDs, schematics and OEM documentation.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site mechanical scope execution for outages and maintenance.
• Own field execution, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality.
• Coordinate other TFAs, contractors and customer personnel.
• Interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, schematics and procedures.
• Drive disassembly, inspection, reassembly, alignment and troubleshooting.
• Support outage planning and post-outage closeout.
• Mentor and support field team members.
• Build strong customer relationships through clear communication.
