Job summary

Molex is seeking a Senior Facilities Project Engineer to plan, coordinate and close facility-related projects at our manufacturing site in Malaysia. You will lead building renovations, M&E and utility upgrades, and ensure safety, scope, timeline and budget compliance while minimising production disruption.

You will collaborate with Production, EHS, Procurement and Finance, manage contractors, prepare scopes of work, cost estimates and progress reports, and deliver handover documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Building Services or related discipline.
• At least 5 years in facility or manufacturing project environments.
• Experience in project management, site coordination and contractor management.
• Ability to interpret drawings, layouts and technical proposals.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility projects from planning to handover.
• Prepare scope, timeline, cost estimates and trackers.
• Coordinate with internal users, contractors and cross-functional teams.
• Monitor progress, safety, quality and budgets.
• Prepare updates and handover documentation.
• Ensure integration with existing facility systems.
• Coordinate shutdowns and testing activities.
