Job summary

Protecthealth Corporation in Sepang, Malaysia seeks a Senior Executive for MediAsas Analytics to perform advanced healthcare analytics across DRG, Care Outcome, FWA, provider and programme performance. You will investigate trends, develop dashboards and analytical reports, and guide junior team members while ensuring data accuracy for management presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant analytical/health discipline.
• 4-6 years of analytical experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare analytics or health insurance/financing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced DRG, claims, utilisation, cost and provider analytics.
• Support modelling and impact analysis for DRG rate establishment and revision.
• Analyse case-mix and provider performance under DRG arrangements.
• Conduct Care Outcome and healthcare quality analyses.
• Perform FWA analytics across FFS and DRG and identify unusual patterns or risks.
• Translate analytical findings into clear insights and recommendations.
• Develop and enhance dashboards, scorecards and analytical reports.
• Guide junior team members on analytical assignments where required.

The Senior Executive, MediAsas Analytics will perform advanced healthcare analytics across DRG, Care Outcome, FWA, provider and programme performance.

This role goes beyond reporting numbers. You will investigate trends, identify underlying drivers and translate complex healthcare data into meaningful insights that support MediAsas decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct advanced DRG, claims, utilisation, cost and provider analytics.
• Support modelling and impact analysis for DRG rate establishment and revision.
• Analyse case-mix and provider performance under DRG arrangements.
• Conduct Care Outcome and healthcare quality analyses.
• Perform FWA analytics across FFS and DRG and identify unusual patterns or risks.
• Conduct provider benchmarking, risk profiling and root-cause analysis.
• Develop and enhance dashboards, scorecards and analytical reports.
• Support predictive analytics, healthcare trend analysis and programme evaluation.
• Translate analytical findings into clear insights and recommendations.
• Validate datasets and analytical outputs for accuracy and consistency.
• Prepare analytical reports and presentations for management.
• Guide junior team members on analytical assignments where required.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics, Health Economics, Healthcare/Health Sciences or related discipline.
• Preferably 4-6 years of relevant analytical experience.
• Experience in healthcare, medical claims, health insurance/takaful, healthcare financing or ITO/TPA is strongly preferred.
• Exposure to DRG, case-mix, FWA or provider analytics is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills using Excel, SQL and Power BI.
• Knowledge of Python/R or equivalent analytical tools is an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to communicate insights effectively.
