Autoliv Hirotako Safety Sdn Bhd is seeking a qualified Materials Planner to plan, order and schedule the supply of materials and components for production in Selangor. You will run monthly MRP, monitor supplier delivery performance, coordinate import of overseas materials, and prepare inventory reports for management.
The role requires a degree and 5 years of related experience, with strong MS Office skills and bilingual Bahasa Malaysia and English.
To plan, order and schedule the supply of materials/components (of assigned suppliers), by generating materials forecast to suppliers, review the accuracy of the forecast, and ordering the material adequately and timely, to ensure continuous supply of materials to production and meeting customer demand.
Monitor, liaise and follow up with assigned suppliers on matters related to materials availability and supplier delivery performance, to ensure continuous supply of materials to production and meeting customer demand.
Monitor the stock level of materialswhich falls below minimum level to prevent part shortage which might cause production or customer line stop.
Monitor, liaise and follow up with vendors, freight forwarder and forwarding on matters related to importation of overseas materials (materials readiness, pick up arrangement, vessel availability and departure), to ensure the materials arrived at plant on timely basis.
Run the system MRP on monthly basis or at planned schedule, to enable materials planning activities to be carried out.
Liaise with sales on the accuracy of forecast entered into MRP system, to ensure the accuracy of MRP data generated.
Toguide andtrain junior staffs to perform materials planning activities
Check and review junior staffs’ material planning computation (on needs basis) to ensure accuracy of material planning .
Review materials stock holding level to prevent overstock situation. To check the accuracy of bill of materials established by engineering in the ERP system, to ensure accurate materials planning for new projects or engineering change for existing models.
Follow up with engineering or project leader on new development parts to ensure materials are ordered on timely basis and available for mass production.
Active participation in the Toll Gate 5 (TG5) in managing phase out materials for EOP models, to prevent excess stock.
Prepare inventory report for management information.
Provide supplier delivery performance results or OPI for management information.
Requirements:Degree in any disciplines
Possess 5 years’ of experience working
A team player with good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English, spoken and written;
Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel);
Able to work long hours, positive attitude and independent;
