Job summary

Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) in Cyberjaya seeks a professional to execute plans, provide strategic advice, and support effective implementation of communications infrastructure projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in the telecommunications industry/vendors.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build collaborative relationships.

Responsibilities

• Study and provide input on policies, guidelines, and technical codes to support infrastructure development.
• Oversee development and review of guidelines to facilitate telecom infrastructure deployment.
• Provide input to ensure guidelines and codes align with MCMC requirements for digital infrastructure.
• Offer secretariat support for workshops, meetings with operators and stakeholders.
• Prepare reports on workshop outcomes and next actions for infrastructure development.
• Monitor and ensure IPD projects stay on track.
• Coordinate with ministries, agencies and local authorities to align guidelines with MCMC needs.

To execute plans and strategies, provide strategic advise, and support the effective and efficient implementation of communications infrastructure initiatives, as well as the development and enhancement of relevant policies, regulatory frameworks, and guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

• Study and provide input on the development of relevant policies, guidelines, technical codes, processes, and frameworks for MCMC to facilitate communication infrastructure development and deployment at the state level and nationwide.
• Oversee and provide relevant input and advise on the development of new guidelines or the review of existing guidelines for MCMC to facilitate communication infrastructure development.
• Provide input on the review and enhancement of existing guidelines, technical codes, processes and frameworks to ensure their relevance and effectiveness in facilitating the development and deployment of communications infrastructure at both the state and national levels.
• Provide secretariat support for the preparation and coordination of workshops, meetings with telecommunications operators and other relevant stakeholders, and related engagements to ensure their smooth and effective execution.
• Prepare reports on the outcomes of the workshops on the next actions related to facilitating communication infrastructure development.
• Oversee and monitor the implementation of projects under the Infrastructure Planning Division (IPD) to ensure they are on track.
• Provide input to guidelines, processes, technical codes prepared by other Ministries, Agencies, state authorities and local authorities (PBT) to ensure alignment with MCMC's requirements regarding the digital infrastructure development and implementation.

Qualification & Work Experience

• Educational level - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
