Job summary

Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd is a leading retail asset management company behind Malaysia’s iconic Suria KLCC, Alamanda Shopping Centre, and Mesra Mall. We seek a detail-oriented professional to review closing and financial reports, monitor monthly statements, and support audits and budgeting processes.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accountancy (ACCA/CPA a plus) and about 5 years in general ledger accounting, with strong Excel and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent required.
• ACCA/CPA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
• Around 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting or related field.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Review and ensure completion of financial reporting per SOPs and authority limits.
• Corrective actions for non-compliance; ensure accuracy for month-end reporting.
• Update and monitor balance sheet and P&L schedules monthly.
• Monitor bank balances, bank reconciliations, and fix deposits.
• Support annual budget process and assist audits/tax with documentation.

To review closing and financial reports

Job Responsibilities:

• To review and ensure completion of financial reporting process as stipulated in standard operating procedures and in accordance with company’s limit of authority.
• To ensure corrective action taken immediately for non-compliance and ensure accuracy and completeness for month end financial reporting.
• To review and ensure all balance sheet and profit or loss schedules are updated and monitored on monthly basis.
• To monitor bank account balance, review monthly bank reconciliation report and to execute fixed deposit placement.
• To monitor financial results on a continuous basis and reforecast P&L on monthly basis.
• To review and ensure completion of account payable process as stipulated in standard operating procedures and in accordance with company’s limit of authority.
• To work with user department on annual budget process.
• To work with internal and external audit / tax by providing necessary information and documentation, ensure timely submission and final filling.
• To support superior on ad hoc task/project assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Preferably with 5 years of working experiences in the related field or specializing in general ledger accounting.
• Basic knowledge of general accounting practices, principles and procedures.
• Microsoft Office savvy.
• Able to work independently, under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Independent, self-motivated and with good interpersonal skills.
• Analytical, meticulous and responsible.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Positive work attitude and able to work in a team.
