Job summary

DKSH in Malaysia (Selangor, Petaling Jaya) is seeking a Senior Client Manager to drive profitability across client portfolios and ensure service delivery aligns with contractual terms. You will steward relationships, negotiate terms, monitor KPIs, and identify growth opportunities in a dynamic, cross-cultural environment.

Key duties include leading teams, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimise operations and expand revenue across value-added services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong understanding of clients' industries, business models and product portfolios.
• Experienced in warehousing and distribution or SCM-related industries.
• Excellent client management and communication skills across all levels.
• Proven ability to build senior-level relationships across multicultural, global teams.
• Respect for cross-country/cross-cultural interactions.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Drive financial performance and profitability across assigned client portfolios with timely service income recovery.
• Ensure services align with T&Cs in Distribution and Supplemental Agreements.
• Contribute to contract negotiations to protect DKSH's interests.
• Monitor KPIs and SLAs, lead performance reviews and drive continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with client organizations and understand their business models.
• Maintain knowledge of client product portfolios, industry trends, and regulatory developments.
• Identify new revenue opportunities and upsell/cross-sell services.
• Lead and coach team members to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Escalate key risk matters to management and ensure compliance.
• Review and approve PO's, expenses, returns, addendums, contracts and SOPs per LoA.

About The Role

What You Will Deliver

• Drive financial performance and profitability across assigned client portfolios, ensuring the timely and effective recovery of all service income in alignment with organizational objectives.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the terms and conditions (T&Cs) contained in Distribution and Supplemental Agreements to ensure services are delivered consistently and in compliance with contractual requirements.
• Contribute meaningful insights during contract negotiations to protect DKSH's interests and ensure balanced, fair contractual outcomes.
• Monitor monthly and year-to-date (YTD) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), lead performance reviews with management, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to address consistent underperformance and drive continuous improvement.
• Build and sustain strong relationships across all levels of client organizations by developing a deep understanding of their business models, internal operations, and expectations, consistently striving to exceed service standards.
• Maintain DKSH's position as the client's preferred business partner through comprehensive knowledge of client product portfolios, business strategies, industry trends, and relevant regulatory and governmental developments.
• Identify and develop new revenue opportunities by marketing existing value-added services and generating new upsell and cross-sell propositions based on a thorough understanding of client business challenges and market dynamics.
• Lead, coach, and inspire team members to foster a positive and collaborative culture that encourages effective communication, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional understanding.
• Escalate key risk matters that may adversely impact the DKSH-client partnership or DKSH's internal compliance and control policies to the appropriate level of management.
• Review and approve purchase orders, expenses, returns, write-offs, addendums, contracts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and related documents in accordance with the company's Level of Authority (LoA).

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong understanding of clients' industries, business models, and product portfolios.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in warehousing and distribution or Supply Chain Management (SCM)-related industries.
• Exceptional client management and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of an organization.
• Proven ability to build and maintain senior-level relationships across diverse, multicultural, and global teams.
• Strong appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities, particularly in cross-country and cross-cultural interactions.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in office productivity tools including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
