Job summary

Eco-Ideal Consulting Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Executive (Carbon) to lead carbon-related consulting projects. You will perform carbon footprint assessments, GHG inventories, and decarbonization strategies for clients across sectors.

You will analyze data, prepare technical reports and presentations, and collaborate with clients and internal teams. Site visits and staying updated on climate policies are expected. Mentoring juniors is part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience with carbon footprint assessment and GHG accounting.
• Ability to prepare clear technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Knowledge of environmental planning, renewable energy, and energy efficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental science, engineering, sustainability, or related field.

• Professional certifications in sustainability or environmental management are beneficial.

Role Description

The Senior Executive (Carbon) is a full-time, on-site role based in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This role involves leading and executing carbon-related consulting assignments, including carbon footprint assessments, greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories, and decarbonization strategies for clients in various sectors. The Senior Executive (Carbon) will analyze data, prepare technical reports, develop presentations, and support the design and implementation of carbon management and climate action plans. The role also includes coordinating with clients and internal teams, contributing to proposals, attending meetings and site visits, and staying current with relevant environmental and climate policies, standards, and methodologies. The Senior Executive (Carbon) will mentor junior team members and support continuous improvement of Eco-Ideal’s carbon services.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in carbon footprint assessment, greenhouse gas accounting, and climate change mitigation, including familiarity with relevant standards and guidelines (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISO standards).
• Proficiency in data analysis and modeling using tools such as spreadsheets, statistical software, or specialized environmental and carbon management systems.
• Experience preparing clear technical reports, proposals, and presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of environmental planning, renewable energy, energy efficiency, solid waste management, or related sustainability fields.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental science, engineering, sustainability, or a related discipline.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with strong organizational and project management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
• Prior experience in environmental consulting or carbon-related projects, preferably within Malaysia or the region.
• Willingness to conduct site visits, engage with clients, and adapt to dynamic project requirements.
• Professional certifications in sustainability, energy, or environmental management (e.g., ISO-related, carbon management) are beneficial.
