Job summary

CMA CGM Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks a Senior Executive, Agency Trade Management to drive Malaysia's exports to long-haul regions and oversee vessel allocations while gathering market intelligence.

Based in Bangsar, you will coordinate with Head and Regional Office, lead a results-driven team, and contribute to growth in a fast-paced shipping environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in any field is required.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant shipping/trade experience is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Job description

Senior Executive, Agency Trade Management

The Agency Trade Management team is responsible for the fulfilment of voyages/allocation (TEUs), vessel management, trade development, analysing market trends and collecting market intelligence while striving to retain CMA CGM Group’s competitive advantage. Simultaneously to drive the directions of trade team in Head and Regional Office while ensuring local team are in line with the growth and objectives of the group.

Responsibilities:

To manage, oversee and develop the performance of Malaysia’s exports to a specific trade region (long-haul)

Ensure respective vessels are fulfilled optimally/Ensure weekly allocations and targets are achieved ultimately to gain market share

Driving sales/commercial team to achieve upward performance from their respective clients in terms of volume support and revenue generation

Coordination with Head and Regional Office for operational and commercial support while sharing timely trade-related information to local agency

Conducting market study and analysis to ensure competitive advantage by simultaneously obtaining market intelligence

Keeping up with market trends and developments while identifying segments to further grow (specific verticals/commodities/industries)

Service enhancement studies & proposals to increase differentiation and competitiveness in the market

Daily vessel forecast submissions and reviews, vessel profile preparations (targeted clients list)

Conducting annual trade budget proposal while analysing market conditions and outlook

Cross-Trade reliever among agency trade team members

Qualifications:

Possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in any field.

Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience in the shipping line/carrier background with trade/commercial exposure is an added advantage.

Strong analytical skills.

Results-driven, resourceful, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

A proactive team player who is also capable of working independently.

Comfortable working onsite in Bangsar office.
