Job summary

VAT Vakuumventile AG, headquartered in Switzerland with a manufacturing foothold in Malaysia, seeks a Senior Engineering Manager – Equipment Project & Fixture Design to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of manufacturing equipment for new product launches and plant expansion.

You will collaborate with Operations Excellence and cross-functional teams to deliver safe, efficient, scalable production capabilities and drive automation transformations across the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in industrial engineering, preferably in a managerial or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Experience with implementing process automation and utilizing advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Excellent project management skills and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead Equipment Project Engineering and Fixture Design teams with guidance and support.
• Develop and implement processes for new product launches and mass production readiness.
• Provide technical expertise in equipment selection, design specs, installation, and troubleshooting to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Formulate strategies to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with process engineering, maintenance, and suppliers to develop automation solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance equipment reliability and production yield.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety guidelines and manage project scope, timelines and resources.
