Job summary

VAT Vakuumventile AG is seeking a Design Engineer in Malaysia to lead customization, relocation, and industrialization efforts for vacuum valve products. You will translate customer needs into engineering characteristics and deliver unique products with optimized design and manufacturing efficiency.

The role requires a mechanical engineering background, strong CAD/GD&T proficiency, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the company.

Qualifications

• Degree or master in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Strong collaborative spirit in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical ownership of products including translating customer needs into engineering characteristics and unique products.
• Drive customization, relocation, and industrialization projects.
• Provide technical guidance to Product & Quality teams and perform DFMA reviews.
• Support Design guidelines and ensure design quality with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, product management, and suppliers to optimize cost and delivery.
