Job summary

VAT Group AG seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead equipment project and fixture design for Malaysia-based manufacturing. You will coordinate with Operations Excellence and cross-functional teams to deliver safe, scalable production capabilities and drive automation initiatives.

Your leadership will steer machine/tooling setups, process optimization, and continuous improvement to maximize yield and efficiency while meeting regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in industrial engineering with leadership exposure.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools.
• Proficient in process optimization, time studies, and value stream mapping.
• Experience with process automation and advanced manufacturing tech.
• Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Data-driven approach with strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Equipment Project Engineering and Fixture Design teams with coaching.
• Develop processes for new product launches including setup of machines and fixtures.
• Provide technical guidance on equipment selection and roadmaps.
• Optimize production processes to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with process engineering, maintenance, and suppliers on automation solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance reliability and yield on the floor.
• Evaluate and implement advanced tools and automation for better performance.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety guidelines.
• Manage project scope, timelines, and resource allocation; report progress to management.
