Job summary

U Mobile is seeking an experienced IT Security leader to drive cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and governance across the organisation. You will oversee a security-focused team, manage budgets, and coordinate across business units to ensure secure, compliant operations.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced telecommunications tech environment. Malay and English communications are needed, with a Bachelor's degree as a baseline.

Qualifications

• Strong digital leadership and IT security leadership capabilities.
• Ability to empower and lead an IT team and build business partnerships.
• Excellent communication skills across management and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the IT Security team, set KPIs, monitor performance, and develop capabilities.
• Develop and implement Cybersecurity Plan; establish policies; audit security measures.
• Manage IT risks beyond cybersecurity, including Business Continuity Plans.
• Oversee CAPEX and OPEX budgets; supervise vendors and IT partners against KPIs.
• Collaborate with departments to deliver secure solutions meeting business needs.
• Provide project status, escalate issues, and report security posture to Audit Committee.
