Job summary

Amkor Technology Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a result-driven engineer to establish and maintain SOPs for stable production in the semiconductor test/assembly environment. You will drive failure analysis, abnormal lot disposition and customer communication to mitigate quality risks while supporting Low Volume Manufacturing changes.

The role requires 3+ years in semiconductor test processes, strong analytical skills in SPC/DOE/FTA, and expertise in ISO/TS standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or master in Electronics, manufacturing engineering, materials engineering or similar disciplines.
• At least 3 years in Test Process in semiconductor industries.
• Experience in bringing a product from Low Volume to High Volume production.
• Able to construct 8D (8 Discipline) reports.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in SPC, DOE and FTA.
• Knowledge of TS16949 requirements and related ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Establish, improve and maintain manufacturing SOPs to sustain stable manufacturing ability.
• Handle abnormal lot disposition, decide failure analysis method, analyze results and communicate with customers to avoid quality risk for shipment.
• Support process productivity and efficiency improvement activities.
• Monitor and analyze operation data, troubleshoot process items and implement corrective action.
• Lead the manufacturing team on internal/external audits and coordinate with other departments for item closure.
• Manage Low Volume Manufacturing for new changes including initial start-up to manage quality/ manufacturability risks.
• Improve and maintain Process Flow, PFMEA and risk management, improvement activities, audits and internal processes.

Job description

This role involves establishing, improving and maintaining manufacturing operational standard operating procedures to sustain stable manufacturing ability. You will handle abnormal lot disposition, conduct failure analysis, and maintain communication with customers to avoid quality risks. You will manage Low Volume Manufacturing for new changes introduced to the manufacturing line, preparing for initial start-up to manage quality and manufacturability risks.

Job Responsibilities

• Establish, improve and maintain manufacturing operational standard operation procedure (SOP) to sustain stable manufacturing ability
• Handle abnormal lot disposition, decide failure analysis method, analyze results and make judgement including establishing good communication with the Customer on lot proceeding to avoid quality risk for shipment
• Support process productivity and efficiency improvement activities
• Monitor and analyse operation data, troubleshoot process related items and implement corrective action
• Lead the manufacturing team on internal or external auditing and coordinate with other departments for item closure
• Manage Low Volume Manufacturing (LVM) for any new changes introduced to manufacturing line including preparation for initial start to manage the risk of quality and manufacturability for newly introduced items
• Improve, maintain Process Flow, Control Plan, PFMEA and risk management, improvement activities, claims, audit findings and internal process

Job Requirements

• Degree or master in Electronics, manufacturing engineering, materials engineering or similar disciplines
• At least 3 years of working experience in Test Process in semiconductor industries
• Experience in bringing a product from Low Volume to High Volume production
• Able to construct 8 Discipline (8D) report.
• Strong analytical abilities and problem solving skills in SPC, statistical data analysis, DOE and FTA
• Basic knowledge on overall semiconductor assembly process and understanding of TS16949 requirement
• Good written and verbal communication skills with ability to present ideas, concepts, data and plans with high confidence at team meetings and executive review meetings
• Able to perform independently with minimal supervision
• Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and ISO/TS standards
