Job summary

Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) is seeking a Senior Engineer for Inspection, Testing & Commissioning (IT&C). The role involves monitoring IT&C submissions, coordinating activities with Contractors and CRO teams, and leading the Trial Running phase.

You will support test procedures, prepare reports, and liaise with consultants to ensure successful testing and commissioning of railway infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of design and installation experience on railway projects and/or large infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of lifecycle system principles, system interface and integration processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor IT&C document submissions by Subcontractors and ensure compliance with the Contractor IT&C plan.
• Coordinate IT&C activities with Contractor Systems, Infrastructure, CRO Team and other departments.
• Participate in IT&C meetings to determine inspections and tests per the baseline programme and ensure test readiness.
• Monitor approval of test procedures in line with the test program and coordinate changes.
• Support IT&C activities, rectification and training with the Planning Team following the Project Baseline Program.
• Compile IT&C progress reports from Subcontractors for monitoring purposes.
• Coordinate with Contractor’s PICs to achieve envisaged test results.
• Coordinate with the System Assurance Department on requirements, configuration and system safety.
• Coordinate Training activities with the Training Manager.
• Liaise with the employer on planned test activities.
• Lead document preparation (Trial Running procedures, test results & reports).
• Liaise with Consultants (LWSC/EMC/DDC) for related testing and commissioning activities.

Senior Engineer, Inspection, Testing & Commissioning (IT&C)

Monitor IT&C document submissions by Subcontractors and ensure the compliance with the Contractor IT&C plan.

Coordinate and participate the relevant IT&C activities with Contractor Systems, Infrastructure, Construction Railway Operation (CRO) Team and other Contractor departments.

Participate (as required) all IT&C meetings for the respective PICs and CRO Team to determine the inspection/ tests to be implemented as per approved baseline programme. Coordinate with the Contractor’s PICs on the test readiness with respect to approved procedures.

Monitor the approval of test procedures with respect to the test program and coordinate changes.

Monitor and support the IT&C activities, rectification and training requirements with the Contractor Planning Team following the Project Baseline Program.

Monitor progress and compile IT&C Progress Reports submitted by Subcontractors for monitoring purposes.

Coordinate with Contractor’s PICs to ensure the achievement of envisaged test results.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must possess Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 8 years working experience in the design and installation of systems on railway projects and/or large infrastructure projects.

Good command of spoken and written English

Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Understanding of lifecycle system principle, system interface and integration activities, quality assurance, software management, requirements and configuration management processes.
