Job summary

Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad in Penang is seeking a Manager to oversee Railway SCADA System (RSS) and CMMS packages across tender, design, manufacture, delivery, installation and commissioning. You will coordinate interfaces, align with the planning timeline, and manage a team to meet contractual requirements.

The role requires a degree in Engineering with at least 8 years of relevant railway SCADA/CMMS experience, strong English communication, and proficiency in MS Office.

• Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience for SCADA and CMMS in railway system projects.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with competent use of English language
• PC literate and familiar with the use of Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.

Responsibilities

• Oversee RSS and CMMS system packages through tender, design, manufacture, delivery, installation and testing & commissioning to meet specifications, cost, programme requirements and client expectations.
• Work closely with related stakeholders in resolving interface and integration issues.
• Collaborate with planning department on the timeline and project schedule to achieve milestones.
• Manage the works of RSS and CMMS WPC.
• Review Sub-Contractor design submissions against specifications and obtain employer approval.
• Manage and review ergonomic studies and associated deliverables for operation rooms from WPC and obtain employer approval.
• Review SA deliverables including system safety documentation to ensure contract compliance.
• Provide guidance to Senior Engineer(s) and Engineer(s) in project management and technical aspects.
• Provide reporting on RSS and CMMS package progress and highlight key issues to the Senior Manager, RSS and CMMS.
• Liaise with employer to support RSS and CMMS O&M training, Trial Operation, safety accreditation and railway operating license.
• Monitor progress against payment milestones and ensure adherence to safe working procedures and health and safety policies.

Job description

Manager, Railway SCADA System (RSS) & CMMS

Responsible for RSS and CMMS system packages throughout various stages of the project including, tender, design, manufacture, delivery, installation and testing & commissioning works to meet the specifications, cost, programme requirement and client expectations related to RSS and CMMS systems.

Work closely with related stake holders in resolving interface and integration issues.

Work closely with planning department on the timeline and project schedule to achieve the milestone.

Manage the works of RSS and CMMS WPC.

Review the Sub-Contractor’s design submissions against specification requirement and obtain approval from employer.

Manage and review the ergonomic study and associated deliverables such as task analysis, concept plan layout for the operation rooms from WPC and obtain the approval from employer.

Manage and review the SA deliverable include the system safety related documentations from WPC ensure the compliance to the system safety requirement as specified in the contract requirement.

Manage and review the works of Senior Engineer(s) and Engineer(s).

Provide support and guidance to the Senior Engineer(s) and Engineer(s) in project management and technical aspects.

Provide the reporting work for RSS and CMMS system package’s progress and highlight key issues to the Senior Manager, RSS and CMMS.

Responsible to liaise and coordinate with Employer to support the RSS and CMMS systems O&M training, Trial Operation, obtaining safety accreditation and railway operating license.

Manage the matters related to Employer expectations and ensure the works are with the contract requirement.

Monitor the works progress against payment milestone.

Ensure safe working procedures and adhered to at all times.

Maintain the requirements of the Company health and safety policy in the work place at all times.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Possess degree in Engineering or equivalent.
