Job summary

Bangladesh Honda- People, Career & Culture in Penang seeks a procurement specialist to review supplier quotations, analyze costs, and propose reductions to management. You will lead cost-down activities, negotiate part prices, and prepare cost analyses for new model development and mass production parts.

In addition, you will conduct supplier audits (QAV1), manage supplier agreements, and create part strategies aligned with global direction.

Responsibilities

• Review supplier quotations and perform cost analysis.
• Lead yearly cost-down initiatives through supplier negotiations.
• Prepare cost analysis and VAVE for new model development and mass production parts.
• Issue supplier agreements including Confidential, Anti-Corruption, and Quality agreements.
• Perform supplier quality audits (QAV1) at supplier premises.
• Update cost forecasts based on exchange rate and material trends.
• Ensure all documentation meets ISO requirements.

• Purchase Agreement
• Quality Agreement
• Supplemental Agreement
• Issued Honda Drawing to supplier for request quotation and propose maker layout.
• Purchasing Strategy Creation
• Supplier Management including maker part and supplier strategy for BSH model.
• Request for the quotation for new model and mass production model and do the cost analysis before do the proposal to management.
• Maker Layout proposal including mold maker for plastic injection based on QCDD and propose to management
• Update quarterly revise cost based on exchange rate fluctuation and material trend.
• New Model Development Support and control target cost
• To prepare the value analysis and value engineering for part improvement
• Collaborate with duty section for the ILP application and excise duty exemption
• Propose maker layout for new model based on drawing and purchasing policy under consideration on target cost.
• Propose CR idea such as localization activity, 3C, rebate, and VAVE for NM/MP model.
• Cost analysis for New Model Parts.
• Negotiate with suppliers in-order to fix reasonable part cost.
• To provide data on section issue about the action plan and progress status by daily, weekly, and monthly.
• To propose the material rate for management approval
• To propose the exchange rate for management approval
• Project involvement – NHC & I-Act
• Create part strategy and synchronize with global direction.
• Propose countermeasure for material CR with collaboration ASH.
• To source new suppliers for localization activities
• Perform quality audit visit (QAV1) for potential new supplier.
• All documents must prepare following ISO requirement.
• Any others task that is assigned by superior from time to time.
