Job summary

Salcon Berhad is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with 5+ years of site and project coordination experience to oversee C&S work progress and liaise with clients, consultants and suppliers. Proficiency in Microsoft Project and strong organizational skills are essential for timely delivery of project milestones.

The role involves preparing progress reports, updating work programmes, coordinating meetings, and ensuring quality through diligent on-site management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline from a recognized institution.
• More than 5 years of relevant working experience for the Senior Engineer role.
• Proficient in Microsoft project.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, while managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly organised and committed to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in all aspects of work.
• Experience in the water/ wastewater industry is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor C&S work progress at site to ensure project is implemented diligently and in timely manner.

• Prepare Monthly Progress Meeting presentation slides and present to the client.
• Take Minutes of Meetings (MOM) for Technical Committee Meetings & Monthly Progress Meetings with the client.

Job description

1. To monitor C&S work progress at site to ensure project to be implemented diligently and in timely manner.

2. Liaison with project stakeholders including client, consultant, subcon, supplier and related authorities.

3. Demonstrated ability to effectively identify, analyze, and resolve issues that arise on-site, ensuring smooth project progress and minimal disruption.

4. Prepare Weekly Progress Report & Monthly Progress Report to submit to client.

5. Update Project Progress in Work Programme via Microsoft Project on weekly and monthly basis to submit to client.

6. Prepare/ amend Work Programmes (if required).

7. Prepare Monthly Progress Meeting presentation slides and present to the client.

8. Take Minutes of Meetings (MOM) for Technical Committee Meeting, Discussion Meetings & Monthly Progress Meeting with the client.

9. Follow up on all Action Required Items from Minutes of Meetings (MOM).

10. Maintain and update the Project Master List (excel file) on a daily basis by keying in and tracking all incoming and outgoing documents and project correspondence.

11. Coordinate with site team, HQ team, consultant & subcon on site progress, outstanding items and submissions.

12. Assist Project Manager to prepare Operation Report for management reporting.

13. Arrange internal coordination meetings, including sending invitations, notifications, and Microsoft Teams meeting links.

14. Perform any other ad-hoc duties as requested by Project Manager & superior
