Senior Engineer - Building Information Modelling

Job summary

GAMUDA is seeking a BIM/CAD specialist to prepare 3D models and drawings for BIM coordination on construction projects in Malaysia. You will develop models and shop drawings, issue RFIs, and work with C&S and Architecture coordination teams.

You will lead draftspersons and BIM discussions, ensuring designs meet scope, schedule, and quality standards; bring engineering principles to design solutions and collaborate with senior design engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Civil/Structural/Equivalent is required.
• 2-5 years’ experience preparing 3D models for C&S/Architecture site related work.
• Knowledge of 3D modelling tools (REVIT) and CAD; familiarity with SketchUp/SolidWorks/Autodesk Inventor is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Developing/ Enhancing 3D models for coordination works and shop drawing production.

To prepare 3D Models and drawings for BIM purpose and assist C&S and Architecture Coordination at site.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing/ Enhancing 3D models for coordination works and shop drawing production.
• Issuing RFIs, design options/ changes, 3D modelling issues and other design issues to the consultans’ and follow up closely.
• Reviews and ensures consultans’ design for the project according to the scope of work and specification according to the defined schedule.
• Work closely with senior design engineer in proposing design solutions based on engineering principles and best practices.
• Lead and guide draftspersons/ 3D modellers assigned to the project.
• Participate in technical, operational and BIM discussion to resolve problems related to projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Civil/ Structural/ Equivalent

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge in 3D modelling tools (REVIT) and CAD is a plus.
• Others 3D modelling software, eg. SketchUp, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor may be considered.
