Job summary

B. Braun Medical Industries Penang is seeking a Senior Engineer/ Assistant Manager - MES (Test) to lead MES testing and deployments.

You will collaborate with global template teams, BMI, and suppliers to ensure robust test coverage and successful implementations in a hybrid work setting. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in MES development and testing, hands-on C#, Angular, MS SQL, and experience with Azure DevOps and UIPath.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in MES system development, testing and support across multi‑tier architecture.
• Hands-on experience in C#, Angular, MS SQL, and low‑code platforms.
• Experience with SDLC tools and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for commissioning and technical implementation of MES in collaboration with Global template team and BMI.
• Responsible for software testing strategy, test case development, and test execution for MES templates and deployments.
• Develops automated test scripts and selects appropriate testing tools.
• Assists in preparing and reviewing acceptance tests and monitors setups during rollout.
• Validates business requirements and performs unit, integration, and end‑to‑end testing as applicable.
• Presents test status and development quality to project and management levels.
• For senior roles, manages large scale engineering projects end‑to‑end.
• Additional role: may participate as software developer depending on capacity.

Your key responsibilities:

• Responsible for commissioning and technical implementation of process solutions in MES in collaboration with the Global template team, local B. Braun Medical Industries (BMI) team and the supplier Critical Manufacturing.
• Responsible for software testing strategy, test case and test execution for MES template, site customization project and MES deployment project.
• Responsible software functionality automated test, including tool selection, automated test script development and implementation.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing acceptance tests and help monitor technical setups during implementation and initial rollout.
• Responsible for validating business requirements and software qualification through appropriate testing methods, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, as applicable.
• Preparation, presentation and explanation of the test status and development quality at project and management level
• Work in the deployment project of the global MES team.- For more senior position level, manage all aspects of a large scale, complex, or significant engineering project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget.
• Additional role for Senior Test Engineer, the position will participate in the software development cycle as software developer depending on the resource capabilities and capacity.

What you will bring to the team :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in MES system development, testing and support across multi tier architecture (UI, middleware, services, and database layers), with strong hands on skills in C#, Angular, MS SQL database development, and low code development platforms.
• Proven experience in software testing fields, including manual test execution and automated test.
• Hands on experience managing the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) using Azure DevOps and UIPath, including test plan, test case, test execution, automated test script.
