Job summary

TC Precision in Johor Bahru, Malaysia is seeking an experienced Senior Purchasing Specialist to support our growing operations. You will source electronic and mechanical components quickly and efficiently, with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.

The role requires independent sourcing, proactive negotiation, and collaboration with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to manage lead times and shortages, and to maintain accurate supplier records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of purchasing, procurement or supply chain experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Strong experience in electronic component sourcing.
• Experience sourcing mechanical components will be an advantage.
• Electronics engineering, electrical engineering or electronics manufacturing background preferred.
• Proven ability to source components independently and achieve quick turnaround.
• Good understanding of BOMs, component specifications, lead times and MOQ.
• Resourceful in resolving shortages and finding alternative sources.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Meticulous, organised and able to manage multiple requirements simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Source electronic and mechanical components based on BOM and project requirements.
• Obtain pricing, availability and lead times quickly to support RFQs and production.
• Independently identify and develop suppliers locally and internationally.
• Manage shortages, long lead time items and urgent component requirements.
• Source suitable alternatives and coordinate with Engineering when required.
• Negotiate pricing, MOQ, lead time and commercial terms.
• Manage purchase orders and follow up closely on deliveries.
• Support Sales, Engineering, Production, Planning and Quality teams.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier records.
• Monitor supplier performance in quality, delivery, pricing and responsiveness.
