Job summary

Micron Technology in Penang seeks a Senior Environmental, Health and Safety Engineer to provide field EHS leadership for major construction and facility projects. You will ensure compliance with Micron EHS standards, review contractor plans, and drive risk mitigation across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in OSH or related field.
• Minimum five years in construction EHS for semiconductor or similar.
• Registered Safety and Health Officer preferred.
• Proficiency in risk assessments, JHA, permit-to-work, and emergency plans.
• Strong contractor management and field leadership.
• Ability to review EHS plans and investigate incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide EHS leadership and field supervision for construction activities.
• Support construction EHS planning, risk assessments, and contractor mobilization.
• Lead investigations of incidents, near misses, and determine corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to Micron EHS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with authorities on EHS issues.
