Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc is seeking a Senior Environmental, Health and Safety Engineer to lead field EHS for major construction and equipment installation projects in Penang. You will oversee EHS programs, audits, and regulatory compliance across the project lifecycle, coordinating with internal teams and external authorities to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role requires strong leadership, risk assessment skills, and experience with high‑risk construction controls, permit‑to‑work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in construction EHS for semiconductor or industrial projects.
• Registered Safety and Health Officer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide EHS leadership and field supervision for construction activities.
• Review EHS plans, risk assessments, and permit-to-work procedures.
• Liaise with authorities such as DOSH and other regulatory bodies.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 14001/45001 and Micron EHS requirements.
