Job summary

W.R. Grace & Co. in Kuantan, Malaysia is seeking a Senior E&I Technician to join our Manufacturing Team.

This role reports to the E&I Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Electrical, Instrumentation and DCS systems to ensure safe, smooth plant operation. You will perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and timely troubleshooting, participate in PMD work requests and projects, ensure SAP stock accuracy, and uphold safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years experience in related field or similar environment.
• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical or Instrument.
• AO Chargeman certification will be advantageous.
• Able to work on 12 Hours Shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot DCS, PLC, and distributed control systems.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and calibration per PM schedule.
• Handle work requests and projects safely and timely.
• Update documentation and SAP parts management.
• Support RCA sessions and plant improvement projects.
• Promote EHS policies and ensure PERMIT/LOTO compliance.

W.R Grace is seeking a Senior E & I Technician to join our Manufacturing Team based in Kuantan,Pahang. This role reports to E & I Supervisor.

Senir E & I Technician 's role is responsible to maintain, troubleshoot and repair the Electrical, Instrumentation and Distributed Control System (DCS) and all related process control system in order to ensure safe and smooth plant operation of W. R. Grace Specialty Chemicals (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.

• To maintain the Electrical, Instrumentation and Distibuted Control System (DCS) and all related process control system in order to ensure safe and smooth plant operation .
• Maintain of Control System (DCS,PLC, other ) :

a) Responsible in maintaining control system such as DCS and PLC system.

b) Responsible inimplementing all preventive maintenance for DCS and PLC system.

c) Responsible in troubleshooting activity and ensure that all problem related is solve in time frame given.

• Work request ( PMD1,PMD2, Project ) :

a)Carry out all job and work request either PMD1,PMD2 or project in a safe and timely manner.

b) Ensure that all work requests are carried out efficiently and in time frame given.

c) Carry out troubleshooting activity.

• Preventive Maintenance (PMDs) activity including calibration.

b) Make sure that the PM schedule been carry out in a timely manner.

c) Assist in developing and maintaining a proper documentation and carry out analysis on PMD2 result.

d) Create a Work Request (PMD1) for any finding or abnormalities on PMD2.

• Quality system :

a)To read and understand all manual , procedure and work instruction.

b) Assist in maintaining and update all relevant document including calibration and checklist.

a) Ensure that all identified spare part are adequate and available.

b) Ensure that a correct spare parts and tools are used for any work request job.

c) Ensure that any spare parts used is properly issued out from store in SAP system.

• Analysis :

a) Assist and invovled in RCA session.

b) Provide relevant information required during the RCA session.

a) Implement all project related to plant improvement and modification.

b) Contribute an idea for any opportunities for improvement.

• Safety Aspect :

a) Implementing all Grace corporate policies on EHS.

b) Ensure that all PERMIT/LOTO requirement is in place before carry out any work request or activity.

c) Actively promotes safety approaches for all activities or work request carry out by Technician.

Required Qualifications

• At least 7 years experience in related field or similar environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Posses at least Certificate or Diploma in Electrical or Instrument.
• Having an AO Chargeman certification will be an advantage.
• Able to work on 12 Hours Shift.
