Job summary

Intel in Malaysia (PenANG) is seeking an experienced engineer to design and verify CPU cores, focusing on synthesis, floorplanning and power optimization. You will collaborate with RTL and circuit teams to meet tight timing goals and contribute to tool-driven automation.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required.
• Experience with CPU physical design and timing verification is expected.
• Hands-on experience with TCL scripting and design tooling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Logic synthesis and place-and-route for CORE IP blocks.
• Floor-planning, routing studies and timing analysis for blocks/sub-systems.
• Work on low power techniques and power reduction in sub-systems.
• Physical verification closure of blocks/sub-systems.
• Develop scripts for data analysis and recipe creation.
• Collaborate with micro-architecture, RTL and circuit teams to meet targets.
• Operate in a high-performing team under aggressive schedules.
